MUES: MÜZE ULUSAL ENVANTER SİSTEMİ PROJESİ

In-Progress Modules

Commission and Valuation (MUES-KMS) Module:Integrated with the core Inventory System, it jointly streamlines the processes involved in the authentication and valuation of all cultural assets in Türkiye. This system documents and supports various institutional workflows, such as the initial registration of artifacts, the appointment of experts to evaluation committees, even to tracking the reward amounts issued to individuals who contribute to the discovery, recovery and safe delivery of artifacts to museums. MUES-KMS manages and documents all stages of the artifact entry into the system, whether acquired through archaeological excavations, donations from private museums via the MUES-OMK module, or public handovers, thus ensuring the seamless integration within inventory registers.

Through this system, commission members can evaluate the authenticity and monetary value of artifacts using agreed upon standardized criteria, such as their uniqueness and physical condition. MUES-KMS also facilitates comparative statistical analysis of similar artifacts across museums nationwide, minimizing discrepancies in valuations and ensuring equitable reward distribution. This data-driven approach optimizes resource allocation and improves budget management, making MUES-KMS a critical tool for the transparent and efficient handling of cultural assets.

The Museum Information System (MUES-MBS) Module, integrated with the core Inventory System, also serves as a centralized platform for managing and analyzing critical data related to museum operations. This includes information on exhibition programs, spatial characteristics, standby costs, infrastructure needs, assets, and maintenance schedules. By consolidating this data, MUES-MBS enables museum administrators to query, analyze, and generate detailed. Through MUES-MBS, museums can optimize their exhibition strategies, monitor infrastructure conditions, and ensure timely maintenance, all while maintaining a streamlined and data-driven approach to preserving and showcasing our cultural heritage.

Private Museum and Collector (MUES-OMK) Module:A specialized platform for managing cultural assets held by private museums and collectors. It ensures that all records adhere to national standards established within MUES-ENV, promoting consistency and compliance. The system also facilitates the registration of private museum staff and custodian collectors, enabling seamless integration into the broader cultural heritage management framework.

MUES-OMK supports the inspection and auditing processes carried out by affiliated public museums, providing tools for querying, analyzing, and reporting all related activities. Designed with future capabilities in mind, the system will enable private museums and collectors to transfer artifacts requiring urgent treatment to Restoration and Conservation Laboratories through the MUES-LAB application. Additionally, users will be able to monitor the entire restoration process directly within MUES-OMK, fostering transparency and collaboration between private entities and public institutions while ensuring the preservation of cultural assets.
